ALS, 1880 July 17 : at sea to Captain Murray.

Charles "Chinese" Gordon was a British soldier. He participated in the capture of Peiking and the destruction of the Summer Palace. Twenty years after these events he returns to China and writes to Capt. Murray about visiting the old places and seeing some of his old friends.
